In 1960 the founders of Kilbury’s
feed service started the business out of a garage in the town of
Fremont, NY, where grind and mix services were provided for most
of the local area farmers. Soon after it was proven that there
was a need in the area, Dana Kilbury rented a hanger at the
Hornell Airport where the business remained for a couple years. |

In 1960 the buildings on 28 Hurlbut Street were purchased from the
Rowe and Kennedy Company, which had previously operated as a
feed store. This same building had been a potato storage
building at some point in its life. This is where our store
remained in operation until a major fire destroyed the building
in October of 1999. All new buildings were constructed as you
see them today with over 20,000 square feet of storage space and
2400 square feet of showroom area. Today Kilbury’s Feed Service
continues the tradition of personal service and commitment to
our customers with an expanded service and sales staff. On staff
we have trained employees in the heating line that are NFI
certified that will assist you in any of your heating decisions.
Whether it is wood pellet, corn, biomass heating, wood, or gas.
